⛷️The skiing

Val d'Isère links with Tignes to form the Espace Killy — around 300km of pistes and one of the most reliable snow records in the Alps, thanks to its altitude and glacier. Beginners have sunny, gentle slopes up at Solaise; intermediates get endless two-valley cruising; experts have the legendary Face de Bellevarde (the 1992 Olympic downhill), the Glacier de Pissaillas and world-class off-piste.

🚡Getting there

The nearest airport is Geneva (around 3 hours), with Lyon, Chambéry and Grenoble also in reach. Most fly to Geneva and take a transfer; you can also take the train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice and hop on a bus up the valley.
