Tignes is all about the snow. Sitting high above the tree line and sharing the vast Espace Killy with Val d'Isère, it has a glacier, a long season and some of the most reliable conditions in the Alps. ⛷The skiing

Tignes links with Val d'Isère to form the Espace Killy - around 300km of pistes with a superb snow record thanks to the altitude and the Grande Motte glacier. There's terrain for everyone: gentle nursery areas around the villages, endless intermediate cruising over to Val, and serious off-piste and steeps for experts. Several base villages (Le Lac, Val Claret, Les Brévières, Les Boisses) all plug straight into the lifts.

🚁Getting there

The nearest airport is Geneva (around 3 hours), with Lyon, Chambéry and Grenoble also in reach. Most fly to Geneva and take a transfer up the valley, or take the train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice and a bus for the final climb.
